ALAN'S WELSH RIDE OUT!

At the end of the summer we headed back to Wales for a weekend of riding through the Brecon Beacons and the Elan Vally, organised by Alan.  Heading up on the Friday morning we took a leisurely ride from Brighton along the A272, hooking up eventually with the A303 and finishing off on a short ride along the M4 and arriving at the Bedlinog inn early evening.  After a few drinks and food it was time to hit the hay ready for an early start the next day.

Up early Saturday we were joined by around 15-20 others and set off for the Ride through the Brecon Beacons to the Elan Vally which didn't disappoint.  Lovely weather, roads and scenery made for a long but awesome days fast riding (hard work keeping up with these Welsh boys sometimes!!)  The day was finished off with an entertaining (to say the least) night in Cardiff!

Up early again on Sunday for the ride back to Brighton, with the knowing that we'd have to purposely set off in heavy rain didn't make it the most appealing of things to do, but off we went!!  Once over the Severn Bridge it was obvious the rain was not going to let up for the rest of the day, and already soaked decided to abandon ship, head to Bath and get a B&B for the night and continued back to Brighton the next day when the weather for better!  Big thanks to Alan, Carter, James, Ian and the rest of the Welsh guys for another great weekend in the valleys!
